RISE is here to rewrite the script. Recreational Interactive Student Experience is a travel agency that combines teens' love for travel with career exploration and discovery. By creating personalized packages, we allow our customers to merge cultural and academic experiences, all while having fun. Our journey began in September 2021, located at 30-20 Thomson Ave, Long Island City, NY 11101. RISE is structured with 21 employees organized into 7 departments, each with different specialties. As for our legal structure, RISE identifies as a B Corporation because we want to use our growth to positively impact our community. We strive to strengthen our company through weekly team-building exercises that reduce inequality within our company and organize fundraising events to better our community. Becoming a B Corp. also improves perceived value, thus attracting more investors and customers. However, RISE chooses to be taxed as a C Corporation due to benefits such as limited liability, perpetual existence, and incorporation of international investors. RISE is located in one of the largest and most diverse business capitals of the world, New York City. This exposes our company to limitless networking opportunities and new perspectives which will help further our mission to provide guidance to the current and future generations.
